Delhi Technological University was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. Today this university is called Delhi Technological University or DelTech or Delhi College of Engineering. Mainly an engineering College, it offers courses in various engineering departments like mechanical, civil, electrical, electronics, software engineering etc. The university offers courses from Bachelor’s level to Doctorate Level (PhD). It was given a state university status in 2009 before which it was affiliated to Delhi University.
